Anilda Gjergji is a dual-certified Mental Health Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) with a diverse clinical background in psychiatric care and

vascular surgery. With seven years of advanced practice nursing experience—including three years in psychiatric nursing and four years specializing in vascular surgery— Anilda brings a

comprehensive, patient-centered approach to healthcare.

Holding a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, Anilda has provided expert care in various settings, managing complex mental health disorders, performing crisis interventions, and

delivering psychopharmacological treatments. Anilda’s prior experience in vascular surgery has equipped her with advanced procedural skills, perioperative patient management, and collaborative care coordination. Anilda’s DNP project focused on smoking and its effects on

peripheral artery disease, highlighting their commitment to vascular health and preventive care.

In addition to clinical practice, Anilda is a dedicated educator passionate about developing the next generation of healthcare professionals. As a Visiting Professor at Chamberlain University, Anilda teaches courses about Caring and Diagnosing Mental Health patients in the

master’s program, and oversee clinical rotations, fostering critical thinking and clinical excellence in nursing students. Anilda’s teaching philosophy emphasizes evidence-based practice,  interdisciplinary collaboration, and leadership development in healthcare.

Anilda is an active member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence, lifelong learning, and advancing  nursing practice. A strong advocate for mental health awareness and patient-centered care, they strive to reduce stigma, expand access to quality healthcare, and promote well-being within diverse communities.
